Gering Water Treatment Plant
The City of Gering Nebraska recently constructed a 4 million dollar water treatment plant. Robinson Electric was awarded the Electrical contract for 2 of the 3 phases that contained electrical work. The phases for which we were involved in consisted of a new well field located 7 miles from the treatment plant and the treatment plant.
The treatment plant required a 2000amp 277/480v service with a 400KW standby generator. 5- 150hp pumps, chlorine generation system. The water treatment plant and the well field are controlled by a PLC system and monitored by a radio SCADA system.
